Pili has been awarded the ANDAM Special Prize 2026

Pili is proud to announce that it has been honored with the ANDAM Special Prize for its biobased Eco-Indigo, a breakthrough in sustainable dyeing that replaces petroleum-based indigo with bacteria-driven fermentation.

Jeremie Blache (Pili president) and Pierre-Yves Bolle (sales director) nominated for 2026 ANDAM Special Prize

Pili is honored to receive the ANDAM Special Prize, a recognition that validates our mission: transforming the textile industry through biotechnology and offering a truly sustainable alternative to petroleum-based dyes.

This award celebrates Eco-Indigo, our bio-based dye produced through industrial fermentation using bacteria. Pili Eco-Indigo delivers the same iconic blue of denim while significantly reducing water consumption, energy use, and chemical impact compared to its petro-based counterpart. It proves that the color of tomorrow’s jeans can be produced in a more responsible way, without compromising on performance or quality.

The ANDAM Special Prize acknowledges Pili’s contribution to reimagining one of the most emblematic sectors of fashion: denim. By developing a scalable, industrially viable, and environmentally responsible solution, we are setting new standards for the entire textile value chain.

This distinction also highlights the growing momentum behind industrial biotechnology in fashion. It shows that deep tech, sustainability, and creativity can coexist, and that the future of color lies in biology, not in petroleum.

Congratulations to Alphalyr, winner of this year’s ANDAM Innovation Award, for its powerful work at the intersection of AI, retail, and sustainability.

A big thank you to the ANDAM jury and its ecosystem for supporting and accelerating these innovations. Together, we are moving the industry forward toward a more sustainable, innovative, and responsible future.
