Collective pride & scientific excellence

On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, Pili was awarded the Pierre Potier Prize Medal!

Created in 2006 and now led by the Fondation de la Maison de la Chimie and France Chimie, the Pierre Potier Prize honors companies that are profoundly transforming the chemical industry. For us, it’s a bit like receiving… the Nobel Prize for French chemical industry leaders!

This medal recognizes a major breakthrough: the first-ever industrial-scale production of a 100% biobased aromatic molecule through fermentation: anthranilic acid.

This innovation paves the way for a more sustainable and decarbonized chemistry, by offering a biobased alternative to key molecules used in dyes, fragrances, flavors, cosmetic and pharmaceutical ingredients, which until now have been almost exclusively derived from fossil resources.

On stage, Guillaume Boissonnat, Chief Executive Officer, and Jérémie Blache, President of Pili, received the medal on behalf of the entire Pili team.

This distinction is a tremendous recognition of their work, determination, and expertise. It also confirms Pili’s position as an industrial player recognized by its peers.

This achievement strengthens more than ever our conviction: the future of chemistry and of color lies in innovative, biobased, and sustainable solutions.
